You will have our gorgeous studio exclusively so you can make yourselves totally at home.
Refreshments are offered to all your Bridal party — bubbles, choice of tea or coffee along with soft drinks.
Please bring up to 3 guests max. We know how difficult this can sometimes be so just call us if you are in a tricky situation!
As much as we love children (I am a mum!), we would ask you to attend without children — babes in arms are totally fine — but we want YOU to enjoy the experience. After all, it's your day!
Please can we ask you to arrive on time? We know how exciting wedding dress shopping is with the urge to arrive early, but the doorbell at a 'YES TO THE DRESS' moment can be a little distracting!
You don't need to worry about wearing a strapless bra. Most of our dresses have amazing internal corsets for incredible support. Bras just put your bust in the wrong position.
Please note that both our bathrooms are on the first floor, only accessible by stairs.
Cancellations and reschedules with less than 72 hours notice are non-refundable or transferable.
Weekend appointment charging is something we have been deliberating for a while now. Any appointment fee is fully redeemable against a dress purchase. We have had many brides cancelling at short notice (or not calling at all) when we could have offered the appointment to brides on our cancellation list — such a shame. All appointments include refreshments, expert guidance and our time.
If you would prefer not to pay a fee, our midweek appointments are totally free and so relaxed!
At every appointment, you will have lots of fun selfie opportunities — we will get the props ready and celebrate finding THE dress with you!
At White Canvas, we believe choosing your gown should feel calm, inspiring and entirely centred around you.
Your appointment fee allows us to reserve our private bridal suite exclusively for you and your guests, creating a relaxed and intimate setting where you can explore your vision without distraction. Prior to your visit, your dedicated bridal stylist thoughtfully prepares a selection of gowns aligned with your style, preferences and inspiration, ensuring your time with us is both purposeful and personal. This fee reflects the care, expertise and preparation that go into delivering a truly elevated bridal experience; one that is tailored entirely to you and designed to feel memorable from beginning to end.
To ensure fairness to all brides, we kindly request at least 48 hours' notice should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of your appointment, or non-attendance, will result in the appointment fee being retained, as your private suite and stylist are reserved exclusively for you.

We are sooo passionate about what we do and believe every bride deserves the best experience no matter. We have the best selection of fully customizable exclusive labels, dreamy BALLGOWNS where you won't find anywhere else in the UK, affordable designer samples and a stunning plus size range to guarantee we have something for everyone.
When you feel ready. Our exclusive made to order dresses generally take 6 to 8 months to produce but for those on a tight timeline we have over 175 brand new sample gowns that can be taken away on the same day. Most brides start shopping around a year before their wedding date.
Our exclusive labels start at around £1100, our BALLGOWNS start at £2700, our JUST BE YOU curvy collection starts at around £1200 and our ready to wear dresses start at £750.
We have made sure that we have a huge range of sizes for our brides to try starting from a 6 up to a size 32. When you try our samples please don't worry if the dress is not your size, we can pull in or let out to show you how it would fit in the correct size. Our ready to wear dresses range from 8–22, but remember that all dresses need to be altered for a perfect fit (even made to order), so if you don't see your size, just bear in mind our dresses can easily be taken in and often let out by our recommended seamstresses.
Our partnered seamstresses, The Modiste, can organize this if you wish, just contact them directly before your fitting.
Hell yeah! We positively encourage our brides to look through our collection. Sometimes it's as much about the touch and feel as it is the look.
We work by appointment only which pretty much means anytime. We know how hard it can be to get the gang together, so we open 7 days a week including evenings and Bank Holidays!
I know you might want to bring along the whole clan, but trust us, you will enjoy the experience much more if you invite the key people who totally get you and understand your style, are honest and give you positive feedback. Remember though we are always honest and want the very best for you.
Nothing in particular, however if you have nude underwear this works best under most dresses. You don't need to bring a bra (most dresses have inbuilt support), but if you do have a strapless one in the wardrobe it might be useful. Hairbands and clips are good too. You might want to try different hairstyles and it helps if you get hot. We have a little step so that you can see how the dress hangs and we have shoes if you want to try with a heel. Light makeup is fine (I mean you want to feel like you), but we ask you don't wear too much fake tan as it can really mark our dresses.
We are not able to offer alterations at the studio but we work alongside the amazing team at The Modiste. We have worked with this team of highly skilled seamstresses for years, so you are in super safe hands. Whether you are just making the dress fit perfectly or tweaking your dress to your own authentic style they will offer you an extremely professional service in their studios at affordable prices.
If you place an order for your dress we will store your dress until your collection however if you buy one of our ready to wear dresses, I am afraid we are not able to store – we simply don't have the space. Your dress will be given to you in one of our breathable dress bags for easy storage.
